DOES IT RECOGNISE THEM?

Having a dog means that you can get involved in a lot of conversations that you wouldn’t otherwise be a party to. As my dog played with two others in the park last week, I stood with the owners.
Dog Owner 1 – Pat and Ruth don’t bring their dog out now, you know. It’s got awful dementia. Just stares at the wall.
Dog Owner 2 – Oh, poor thing. Does it recognise them?
Dog Owner 1 – I doubt it. But then I guess all walls look a bit the same to a dog.
Dog Owner 2 – Oh right. I actually meant whether it recognised Pat and Ruth.
