WHO'S GOT TALENT?

It was Friday lunchtime and the two men in front of me in the sandwich shop queue were discussing their plans for the evening.

“You coming out tonight? Think a few of us are going for a quick beer round the corner from work.”

The other man shook his head.

“No. I’ve got to get the 6 o’clock train home. It’s a big night at our local pub tonight.”

“Oh right. What’s going off there then?”

“Semi-final of Sidcup’s Got Talent.”
